Biography Fariba was fashion designer in Iran and since coming to Canada she has graduated from the textile art program at Capilano College and fashion art in Vancouver community college. The designs she produces are all created through her experimentation with unusual materials such as tree bark, dry leaves, cornhusks, etc. Her textiles result in the creation of unique items of wearable art. Her love for designing textiles contributes to the challenge of transforming one art form into another. Her work has been included in several exhibitions throughout Vancouver and Lower Mainland. Texture and depth are what she aims to bring into her clothes. She sometimes uses her background, and enjoys using on ancient motif and transferring them to contemporary design.
